About the event

Eleven editions, one shared mission: helping the industry understand the landscape before the harvest begins. Since its inaugural edition, the DATAGRO Opening Crop – Sugarcane, Sugar and Ethanol has served as a meeting point for the sugar-energy sector to assess the results of the closing harvest, anticipate what lies ahead, and align strategies and plans for the year to come.

In March 2027, the 11th edition will put carbon intensity reduction at the heart of the discussion as a strategic priority for the sector. Going beyond sustainability, the debate will address market positioning, public policy, access to new opportunities, and the role of biofuels in Brazil’s and the world’s energy mix.

Following a 10th edition that brought together more than 1,600 participants, over 80 speakers, and more than 16 hours of technical content, the event returns, reaffirming its role as a key gathering for the leaders shaping the future of the sugarcane, sugar, and ethanol industries.
