Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from UFMG, postgraduate in Structural Engineering from UFMG and in Economic Engineering from Fundação Dom Cabral, with an MBA in Business Management from Fundação Dom Cabral and post-MBA from Kellogg School of Management Chicago, Northwestern University, USA. He joined the company in 1987, working in product development, powertrain and chassis in Latin America, and at the Tech Centre in the USA.
